Easy Peasy Knitted Rose and Two Kinds of Leaves

As promised a short tutorial on a knitted rose and two variations of leaves. This has been kindly provided by Jenny's Crafts.

These are easy I guess, I'm only saying that because this is how I learnt how to knit. If you haven't knitted before then get some 4mm needles and learn how to cast on and knit on youtube. The following videos I found worked for me.

How to Cast on and then How to knit (this lady also does some other tutorials for when you get to the leaves e.g. purl, yarn over etc).

You will then get to row 4. When you do, don't panic. Keep Calm and Carry On!

All you need to do, is knit as normal but catch two stitches, instead of one.

Let me know how you get on. xxxxxxx

Knitted Rose

cast on 80 stitches. knit 3 rows.
Row 4 - knit two together all along the row (40 stitches)
Row 5 - knit two together all along the row (20 stitches)
Row 6 - knit two together all along the row (10 stitches)
Cut the wool and leave approximately half a meter and thread onto a needle.
Pass the needle through the 10 stitches, and pull to gather the flower. Then roll the flower up sewing it all into place as you go along. Make sure you keep the bottom as flat as possible and sew all the way around so there are no gaps when you look into the flower.
When this is done, you can shape your flower until its perfect for you!

Leaf 1 (the one with little holes in it - my definite favourite!)
